Human Resources Manager

Position Scope:

The Human Resources Manager will be involved in a wide range of Human Resources duties and responsibilities. This position will hold responsibility for the entire HR function within the company including recruitment, strategic initiatives, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and maintain the HR Manual and policies
  • Train and coach the Management team
  • Participate in strategic planning with the Executive team
  • Spearhead the implementation of a new HRIS system
  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process
  • Onboard new employees
  • Provide support to hiring managers on evaluation and selection of candidates
  • Ascertain, analyze and recommend strategies for enticing top talent candidates in challenging markets
  • Create and utilize a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract new talent through using multiple channels and sourcing strategies – including social media
  • Provide workforce analytics for a variety of positions; using both internal and external sources
  • Schedule, coordinate and conduct interviews with hiring managers and candidates
  • Manage HR analytics, metrics and reporting for the organization
  • Conduct Compensation reviews
  • Oversee and review the Group Benefit policy
  • Facilitate all basic and intermediate Human Resources functions
  • Multitask multiple demands (i.e. actively participating in the recruiting process, analyzing employee turnover and retention, addressing employee matters and organizing work activities)
  • Formulate methods to improve employment policies, processes and practices as well as recommending changes to management
  • Conduct research and analysis on market trends
  • Assess the employment needs of the company through studying the company’s plans and goals, and then attempting to meet them through determining the managers’ needs
  • Handle employee relations issues and all staff HR inquiries
  • Maintain all employee HR files
  • Assist with various administrative duties

Education and Experience:

  • Post-secondary education completed in Human Resources or a related field
  • CHRP designation is an asset
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in the Human Resources field
