Technical Sales Representative

This is an excellent consultative sales role working with a premium industrial products distributor in and around the Toronto area.  The focus of the role is prospecting for new accounts and developing existing customers with engineering and contracting firms as your primary clients.  This is a great opportunity for a long term career as our client continues to flourish in Canada year after year.




  • Prospect to identify new customers and grow the account base in the assigned territory
  • Manage several large bid and tender processes with the goal of landing profitable new projects for the company
  • Build relationships within the territory with a variety of contacts and utilize a consultative sales approach
  • Meet with clients onsite at commercial and industrial building projects
  • Provide product information on a technical level which focus on industrial piping
  • Research and identify competitive threats and shifts in market demand
  • Pursue new business opportunities
  • Update and record timely and accurate information in the company CRM system on all sales activities




  • 3-5 years of stable sales experience with ability to prove results
  • Mechanically inclined – ability to understand technical product applications and sell to a highly educated client base
  • University Degree
  • Extremely strong presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively influence & negotiate
  • Highly driven to exceed goals
