On behalf of our client, we are looking for an Administrative Assistant in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The Administrative Assistant will contribute to the success of the team by using their strong organizational and multi-tasking skills to coordinate activities within the clinic and to support the team’s administrative needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting patients, clients, co-workers, physicians, and other office visitors, and being their first point of contact.
- Booking initial and follow-up appointments for patients.
- Answering and directing incoming calls received on a multi-line phone system.
- Providing administrative support to all employees to help make their day run as efficiently as possible.
- Assisting with Physician consultation letters, reports, and confirmations when needed.
- Billing patients, insurance companies, and third parties for products and services.
- Fill inventory/stock orders for customers and unpack product inventory orders.
- Performing other general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, updating spreadsheets, etc. as required.
The Ideal Candidate Brings:
- A Degree or Diploma in medical office administration, office administration, business administration, or a related field is required.
- At least one year of experience in a medical administration or customer service role.
- Experience with billing insurance companies and a knowledge of health benefits is an asset.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Jane, and EMR systems.
- Strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
- The ability to work independently, and to contribute to a cohesive team environment.
