Business Development Representative – Reliability

A leading provider of equipment reliability and condition-monitoring services for the Mining & Construction, Oil & Gas, and Industrial Plant segments. From their roots as an oil analysis service provider, this company has developed into a Reliability Solutions provider to help customers maintain critical assets.

The Reliability Sales Professional is responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing relationships with key customers within defined geographies, industries, and product lines.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Promote the company’s portfolio of products, services, parts and kits to various industrial customers.
• Develop a strategic territory call cycle and action plan to ensure optimal territory coverage.
• Highlight client improvements for ROI by utilizing the company’s products.
• Stay current on industry trends, customer projects and the competition.
• Develop and coach customers on technical product information.
• Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
• Prepare sales forecasting and monitor on an ongoing basis.

Required Skills and Knowledge: 

• Sales hunter mentality (self-motivated, goal oriented, driven by success).
• Proven track record of sales success in similar fields or product lines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision or direction.
• Demonstrated competency of conceptual sales techniques.
• Ability to build rapport with and present ideas clearly to audiences of different backgrounds (Executive level down to front Line).
• Experience with Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and condition monitoring technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and ability to learn other software packages.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Education and Experience: 

• Post-secondary education in the fields of science, engineering or related discipline.
