Communications Manager (10 month term)

Supporting the interests of the Agriculture industry across Canada, our client is a member based organization who seeks to recruit a Communications Manager for a 10 month term.

Responsibilities:
• Lead all internal and external communications with final approval of all graphics and messaging.
• Responsible for annual conference strategy, tactics, and deliverables.
• Own and update brand policy and guidelines including articles, presentations, trademarks & logos.
• Centre point of contact for all member Publications
• Website responsibilities which include: content, design, functionality, maintenance, Board member secure sites and access to third party services to members.  This in conjunction with their agency of record.
• Responsible for managing social media
• Design and development of Sales & Marketing materials
• Event planning and coordination including Board of Director Meetings, Training, and annual Conference
• In collaboration with the Executive Director, assist with the implementation of the annual development plan
• Participate in the development of  long term and short term strategy plan
• Work closely with Sales & Marketing Manager to identify opportunities of: membership, communications and publications, conference and training.

Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications or Creative design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & CRM software
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Communications position
• Experience in event planning
• Experience working in Marketing, Communications, and Advertising
• Experience in managing multiple projects
• Experience in Agriculture is an asset
• Ability to travel within Canada
