Technical Service Manager– South Shore Nova Scotia

My client, who is located the beautiful South Shore area of Nova Scotia is a worldwide leader in the equipment they produce and sell; their product is exported to more than 50 countries.  In business for over 30 years, they are proud to supply their customers with amazing customer service and an innovative quality product. 

 

Reporting to the Business Development Team Leader, This position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the day-to-day activities of the Customer Service Department (Service Technicians), to ensure team goals and objectives are met.  This is not a sales role, but a management role where you also work with Sales, Engineering & Production Departments to ensure customer needs are well communicated and met on time.  As a major touch point with customers, this position is responsible to provide leadership and collaboration with all departments to influence new product development and current product lines so they meet or exceed their customers’ expectations.  The incumbent must be able to establish clear, measurable goals for project work and employee development that support department and company goals while ensuring an orderly, safe and healthy work environment

 

To be successful in this role, preference is for a post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering or Materials Processing or equivalent experience is required.   In addition, 5+ years in a technical service management role is required.  You must have experience leading and managing technical staff, with highly developed communication and presentation skills.  This position includes 10% travel (4-5 trips per year), and incumbent must be a results-driven leader!
