Job Summary
The Director of Sales & Marketing has direct responsibility to plan, lead a team, and be responsible for overall execution of the organizations marketing plan in order to achieve their fiscal business objectives. This includes field marketing, corporate communications (external & internal), corporate message/brand and overall responsibility for our marketing budget. The Director is a member of the company’s Senior Management team and reports directly to our Vice President.


  • Drive pipeline growth for key industries by generating qualified leads through marketing activities.
  • Have direct responsibility for our overall communication to customers, partners, analysts, press, etc.
  • Position our client as a market leader through messaging within programs.
  • Own the overall corporate messaging & brand value in our designated marketplaces to meet our objectives.
  • Work with sales and product management to plan and execute integrated mix of marketing programs including email, direct mail, seminars, webinars and events.
  • Management of external vendors who will support programs including graphics design and web vendor.
  • Coordination and management of print and production agency on a campaign basis.
  • Integration of programs into Marketing and CRM systems including lead tracking and reporting.
  • Project Management of large initiatives within the marketing organization including programs such as user conferences, product launches and annual kickoff.
  • Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track and report on marketing spending as it directly relates to budget targets and business objectives.
  • Manage our customer & prospect databases to ensure consistent and appropriate communication.


  • Minimum five (5) years experience in a corporate marketing or agency marketing position.
  • Experience in database marketing, web seminar production, content generation and strategic marketing planning.
  • Strong project management skills are a requirement.
  • Experience working with product management, sales, customers and partners.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with a solid reputation as a key contributor to operational excellence.
  • Experience in an enterprise-wide software development environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and PC skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
