Key Account Manager – Food Service Industry

Our client is looking for a Key Account Manager for their Mississauga office.



  •  Identify and aggressively develop new customer relationships and sales opportunities;
  • Strive to exceed monthly sales targets through conducting cold calls and following up on opportunities;
  • Create strategies and execute to achieve sales goals;
  • Develop relationships with food brokers and manage them as a core strategy to develop sales leads;
  • Close deals in a timely manner;
  • Identify industry trends and provide suggestions to management on product innovation and other tools required to expand customer base
  • Work well within the company, forging relationships within all departments.
  • Other duties as required


Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales in B2B food sales
  • Prior experience in managing food brokers
  • Understanding of wholesale, warehousing and transportation would be an asset;
  • Proven ability to identify and close sales opportunities;
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
  • Microsoft office competency
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Self motivated and driven
