Medical Sales Representative – CR1300

Our client is currently looking for an Sales Representative for their Vancouver operations. The Sales representative will be responsible for business development of a geographic territory. The Sales Representative will have experience selling medical devices, and will serve customers by providing information, demonstrations, quotations and delivery of products, post delivery support and meeting customer identified needs.

  • Identifies business opportunities by researching the marketplace, physicians, institutions and community agencies to explore and identify their needs; establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to visit potential customers
  • Services existing accounts by meeting with them regularly and as required to provide information on new and existing products and services, and providing in-service education
  • Assists in the development of sales and marketing plans by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, the competition, trends, and maintaining historical records on area and customer preferences and sales
  • Reports on activities and outcomes by completing the prescribed sales reporting documents accurately and on a timely basis
  • Actively participates in profile building initiatives by coordinating, attending and exhibiting at select tradeshows and conferences


  • Completed 4 year University degree
  • 3-5 years of sales experience required, ideally with long term contractual supply & service agreements
  • Ability and willingness to travel with overnight stays in a territory comprised of healthcare facilities located in both urban and rural centres; ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Experience in contract negotiations and contract management with a strong proven sales record
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent computer skills with advance level knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Enthusiasm, self-reliance, drive and ability to sell; Strong time management skills are a necessity
  • Team player with good leadership skills
  • Must posses a valid drivers license and a clean driver’s abstract
