Mississauga – Sales Specialist – Industrial/Safety Products – Ontario Region

Our client – a supplier of tools, equipment and safety products – is growing and currently seeking an experienced Sales Specialist for their Ontario location. As Sales Specialist, you will have a strong ability to evaluate customer needs and become a brand ambassador. You have a yearning and drive to “get the sale” by using your strong sales skills. You thrive in a fast paced environment, where your contribution will have a direct impact on the bottom line. This means you will have the absolute skill set to demonstrate the product in the field and to present the program to a purchaser.

 You will also be responsible for visiting end users in these industries, conducting product knowledge sessions/product demonstrations, holding presentations to purchasing departments, doing joint calls with distributor sales representatives, working with their distribution network to expedite the sales, setting up and attending trade shows, and attending customer open houses.



  • Showcase all of the product lines of tools, equipment and safety products using their mobile showroom
  • Conduct product demonstrations in the field and present the program to purchasers
  • “Get the sale” using various sales methods (prospecting, cold calling, presentations etc.)
  • Pushing the sale through the distribution network
  • Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Evaluate customers’ needs and build productive long lasting relationships
  • Meet personal and team sales targets
  • Work closely with distribution channel account managers
  • Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads
  • Attend meetings, weekly conference calls, sales events and training to keep abreast of the latest developments
  • Report and provide feedback to management
  • Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory
  • Maintain and keep up to date the company vehicle (mobile showroom)
  • Daily CRM logs


Skills and Experience

  • Proven sales experience to end users preferably in industrial, construction or automotive industry
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Aptitude for tools, equipment, safety products
  • Experience managing a territory
  • Experience working CRM
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
  • Computer use competency
  • Good standing driving record
  • Experience meeting multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Energetic and growth oriented individual
  • Self-motivated and driven
