Pharmaceutical Sales Representative

Our client, a globally recognized brand in health care (diabetes care) is looking for a highly motivated self-starting Pharmaceutical Sales Representative to join their team. This individual is responsible for the achievement of annual sales commitments within the assigned territory.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sales calls to targeted customers and identify and prioritize activities to maximize sales performance.
  • Build relationships and rapport with key customers and identify and develop key regional opinion leaders in diabetes to drive opportunities.
  • Actively collaborate with other sales representatives to develop appropriate strategies and tactics to maximize business opportunities, optimize utilization of resources, achieve maximal efficiencies and return on investment.
  • Development of strategic business plan focused on HealthCare Professionals (Diabetes Nurse Educators, Endocrinologists, key GPs), to achieve annual revenue goals within assigned territory.
  • Use comprehensive understanding of Diabetes disease state, Diabetes Product knowledge including relevant competitors’ products to aid in achievement of objectives.
  • Act as a reference / resource person at the HCP level for all of the team members within the area/region.
  • Apply knowledge and experience of the relevant industry and healthcare trends, market dynamics, market access, applicable laws and regulations to advance the business and/or adapt business plans as needed.
  • Other duties as required.

Education and Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education (University degree) required, preferably in science or business administration.
  • 5 + years selling experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Should possess high level of competencies in communication, presentation, planning and organization, leadership, problem solving, interpersonal skills and strong selling skills.
  • Strong business analytic skills including ability to analyse and interpret data and modify plans as needed.
  • High level of knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical/medical industry preferably in Diabetes.
