Our client is a documented leader in their industry and some of the largest companies in the world use their technology.  Based here in Vancouver they are experiencing significant year-over-year growth.

As they are growing out their sales team across North America, they are adding Pre-Sales Engineers to their team

Pre-Sales Engineer

As a Pre-Sales Engineer you will report to the VP Sales and Business Development.  You’ll be responsible for discovering their client’s problems and creating a solution that will allow you to tell a story of how this will change from the first year till their problem is solved. This role will also include remote demo presentations on a weekly basis to stakeholders within prospect companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance to members of the sales team to ensure proper technical and business fit.
  • Understand customer needs and develop high-quality presentations and proposals that speak to these needs
  • Skillful preparation and delivery of onsite and web-based product demonstrations tailored to customers’ business processes and requirements.
  • Work with the sales team to build, manage and maintain customer relationships
  • Translate technology, Software-as-a-Service and business solutions to all types of audiences such as non-technical people.
  • Work with Product Manager on new product development.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years implementing a SaaS software solution is preferred
  • Requirements Gathering & Business Analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated experience working with the executive level customers
  • Prior in-depth experience applying CRM, ERP or SCM products
  • Domain knowledge in the Procure to Pay and/or Quote to Cash sector would be an ASSET
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to assess a problem and resolve an effective course of action
  • Active listener and clear communicator; persuasive and articulate to apply the solution to the customer or prospect’s unique needs.
