The Role

My client is a fortune 500 brand with a growth opportunity in the Vancouver region for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM).  The RSM is responsible for the sales and growth of the assigned territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Calling on Distributors to increase route averages and recruit new Distributors.
  • Go on joint calls / ride along with distributors
  • Conduct new Distributor training
  • Support our distribution network as it pertains to large user needs
  • New business development within assigned region

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Must have minimum of 5 years of route / field sales experience
  • Must have minimum of 2 years management experience directing multiple field / route sales professionals
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% within the specified sales territory

Desired Characteristics:

  • BA in business or related field
  • Prior experience in the tool sales industry
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting new talent into an organization
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven time management skills and strong business acumen and relationship building skills
  • Knowledge of the local automotive repair market
  • Prior experience as a small business owner or in coaching mentoring small business owners
