They are seeking a dynamic Sales Representative who will be responsible for selling industrial/construction related materials within the South WA/OR area. The Sales Representative is responsible for growing the business through implementing a regional sales strategy focused on securing new business and increasing volume with existing customers. The successful candidate will also be required to deliver exceptional service offerings and create opportunities to sell “value-add” products and services within the defined geographical area of responsibility. This position will reside in Vancouver, WA.

Generate new business customers, and ensure the efficient follow up of all potential customer leads.
Effectively maintain a pipeline of further business activity from existing customers
Ensure a consistent high level of service offering to all existing and prospective customers
Formulate, develop and coordinate the delivery of highly valued account plans for existing and potential new customers that achieve mutual business outcomes
Complete structured call plans with prospects through face-to-face presentations and networking
Identify strategic and key business opportunities within the various market segments and ensure these opportunities are converted into new business activity
Identify and develop relationships with key prospects and decision makers of existing customers
Regularly conduct market analysis and gather market intelligence within the industry
Be actively involved with various industry bodies and associations with the aim of monitoring industry development and providing information to prospects and existing customers on industry and market trends
Achieve territory/account sales volume targets as well as new product volume targets
Ensures data is accurately captured within documents and sales forms
Be actively involved in preparation of annual sales budgets for the relevant territory
Proactively collaborate with customers & internal stakeholders to achieve desired win-win outcomes
Assist in the preparation of quotes and project submittal information
Provide timely and accurate feedback and advice to relevant team members
Skills and Qualifications
Experience in the building materials, construction & industrial products industry
Post-secondary education or related experience/qualifications in sales, management or engineering preferred
High level of business acumen and understanding of customers’ expectations and needs
Professional sales, and sales process management experience is required
Strategic, commercial and entrepreneurial thinking skills
An ability to effectively construct and deliver a deal with a cross section of different customers and build relationships internally and externally
Strong verbal and written communication, presentations, time management, and negotiation skills
Possess strong quantitative analysis, research and critical thinking skills
