Senior Key Account Manager – Food & Beverage Industry!

Our client within the consumer goods realm is looking for a Senior Key Account Manager to join their team.
The Senior Key Account Manager will be responsible for leading, growing and developing LCL business by placing emphasis on quality, accuracy and speedy delivery – always with the customer in mind. This position is responsible for championing and developing a long-term strategic partnerships and ensures budgeted sales, profit, and key objectives are attained.

What you should expect: 

  • Manage and develop assigned regional & national accounts.
  • Increase business with assigned accounts through strategic account management.
  • Focus on head office and key buying locations of assigned accounts, while coordinating closely with field associates assigned to these customers other locations.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Explore and develop new business opportunities.
  • Sales forecasting for products, customers.
  • Develop and manage the sales budget for assigned accounts.

What you should bring:

  • A university degree
  • 5 years of Private Label experience
  • Five + years of previous strategic sales and/or marketing experience
  • Experience calling into large retail/ grocery head office and calling on (LCL) is a must.
  • Superior networking and communication skills – ability to build strong internal and external business relationships
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Financial mind
  • Must be able to operate at both a strategic and tactical level
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, initiative and determination within a growth oriented team environment
  • Strong business acumen
  • Solid understanding and an appreciation for product category management and sales process
