Senior Marketing Manager

About Our Client: Our client is a leader in the fresh grocery space.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and the Senior Management Team, the Senior Marketing Manager will build out the marketing function within the organization from ground up. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset and a collaborative approach. The Senior Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of efficient national marketing strategies designed to drive brand awareness and preference for the brands. The ideal candidate will use data driven decision making to plan, execute, analyze and optimize programs that drive traffic to the corporate websites and increase engagement and conversion amongst website visitors. Hours for this role are Monday to Friday from 7am – 3pm. Please note this role will be in office, with COVID protocols in place.



  • Identify and effectively implement marketing tactics that drive profitable growth and create value
  • Own marketing calendar to drive brand awareness, acquisition and retention
  • Facilitate collaborative processes to ensure marketing strategies are aligned, prioritized, and focused to drive profitable growth, new customers, and excellent customer experiences
  • Establishing KPI measurements to track success of marketing initiatives
  • Think big, inspire others to deliver top-notch, best in class ideas and plans, gaining alignment, effectively and efficiently implementing ideas through strategic programs and initiatives
  • Utilize data to provide category analysis that supports strategic business decisions and drives growth
  • Partner with internal sales team to develop pitches and sell-in tools for new customers and new products
  • Leading strategy and execution of all trade shows
  • Managing the marketing budget, communicating ROIs, providing ongoing measurement and optimization to achieve business KPIs
  • Develop and manage relationships with agency partners
  • Plan, execute, analyze and report on digital marketing campaigns
  • Develop, build and maintain the social media strategy for the company and optimize use of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc.)
  • Improve the usability, design, content and conversion of the corporate website with the expertise of agency partners
  • Responsible for budget allocations and monthly reconciliation of digital marketing spend
  • Work with and negotiate with suppliers for labels and packaging materials
  • Manage graphics and overall look/feel of labels/brands
  • Manage relationships and negotiate with suppliers for corporate apparel and giveaway items
  • Create video content and corporate presentations
  • Other marketing duties as required

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience managing and executing digital marketing campaigns, landing page optimization and a range of other related skills
  • Proven ability to bring great ideas from inception to full execution, including measuring results
  • Strong analytics skills with experience building and managing scorecards/dashboards
  • Expert at identifying trends in web data, drawing conclusions and making actionable recommendations to key stakeholders within the organization
  • Self-starter with demonstrated strong planning and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong sense of ownership, positive attitude, drive and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated capability for decision making, sound judgment and assertiveness
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong numerical, analytical and data processing skills
  • Ability to speak and write French is an asset
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the US

Education and Experience:

  • University Degree in Marketing or related field
  • MBA would be an asset
  • Minimum 8+ years of work related experience
  • Experience working for a fortune 500 company is highly desirable
  • Proven track record in developing digital marketing strategy, excellent understanding of web technologies, exposure and passion for social media, SEM/SEO, digital content and performance display
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional and measurable performance results through digital marketing efforts
  • Experience working with agencies including briefing, campaign management and campaign optimization
  • Experience with brand management in Social Media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Youtube
  • Proven experience in analyzing performance using Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Bing Ads and Social Analytics tools
