Lead Inside Sales Rep – Oakville

About Our Client: Our client is a leading global consumer goods and home products organization.


Position Scope: The Lead Inside Sales Rep provides direct sales support for field sales regions in the ongoing development of existing and prospective customers. This includes lead generation and qualification, following up on significant opportunities, as well as overall direct sales responsibility for established and target customers in the Regions. In addition, the Lead Inside Sales Rep will assist the field sales team by providing internal support relative to the development of job opportunities.




Inbound and Outbound Lead Generation

  • Lead qualification and follow up with wholesaler, contractor, and design firms to identify opportunities for field sales
  • Integrate with marketing to accept marketing qualified leads
  • Lead assignment to field sales in conjunction with segment leads
  • Develops quotations in cooperation with field sales associates based on identified sales strategy and information collected from lead sources
  • Conducts pre and post-sale follow up on quotes (calls customer to ensure projected start date), reviews specifications, understands product needs, establishes job timelines, and makes alternative recommendations) in coordination with field sales associates
  • Provides training to the sales team for any new software or systems that are implemented


Sales Support

  • Revenue responsibility with assigned wholesale accounts
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships to support wholesale, contractor, non-single family, and builder market activity with field sales positions
  • Identify, track and manage project issues, finding resolution through creative problem solving and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Monitor project progress (i.e. KPI) to ensure deadlines are met and within budget
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure visibility to projects
  • Maintain and update databases i.e. customer contact lists, leads, email distribution lists


Sales Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist the sales team with reporting, data analytics and creative insights
  • Enhance dashboard reporting and automate regular reports where possible


Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Hunger for driving sales in a competitive environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in French & English is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers
  • Highly organized with excellent problem solving, analytical, and quantitative analysis skills
  • Possess good listening and communication skills, as well as energy, enthusiasm and endurance
  • Ability to travel for trade shows and customer meetings up to 15%


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline is highly desired
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or sales administration is required
  • Requires advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Robust systems experience in SAP, Qlikview; CRM experience is an asset
