Technical Sales Representative in Edmonton

Our client is one of North America’s largest facility services and management organizations providing a comprehensive technical service offering to their commercial and industrial clients. Reporting directly to the Branch Manager in their Edmonton office, the role will be required to develop technical product knowledge, understand business best practices and develop technical sales expertise. The role will provide sales assistance / product information to customers and help to secure business opportunities.


    • Develop New Commercial HVAC Service Agreement business in the industrial, commercial, and institutional market
    • Increase regional sales & profitability by achieving the goals set forth by the Sales Management Team
    • Identify and solicit potential clients in Edmonton and surrounding territory
    • Consult with clients after the sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
    • Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations
    • Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Management


    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related Technical Sales environment
    • High School graduate, College/University graduates an asset
    • Engineering designation an asset
    • Journeyman License an asset
    • Previous experience in HVAC, mechanical, electrical or building automation would definitely be considered a strong asset
    • Proficient computer skills
    • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external individuals
    • Proven systematic and organized approach to multi-tasking
    • Demonstrate ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
    • Working knowledge of the English language, both written and oral.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize a heavy workload.
    • Professional, friendly, exceptional interpersonal skills.
    • Provides service to both internal and external customers

Remuneration for this position will consist of a base salary between $85-90K in addition to an aggressive commission structure targeting income in the first year between $100-110K commensurate upon experience. Second year income potential are targeted at $150K. Automobile allowance and flex benefit program including company matching pension program is also included. Out of town travel in this role is minimal.
