Territory Manager – Northern Ontario – Animal Health

About Our Client:

Our client produces medicine and vaccinations for pets and livestock.


Position Scope:

Our client is looking for a high-performing sales person to fulfill the Territory Manager – Companion Animal role in Northern Ontario (Barrie, Collingwood, Orillia, Muskoka, North Bay, Sudbury, and Sault Ste. Marie). The Territory Manager will effectively execute selling and marketing directives and take the lead to ensure promotional and commercial activities take place. In collaboration with colleagues, the Territory Manager seeks to provide solutions that meet customer needs. Additionally, the Territory Manager consistently models the company’s Beliefs, Values and core competencies.



  • Utilizes the Company’s Sales Model and Call Execution process to generate growth and sustain loyalty
  • Anticipates customer’s needs, issues and concerns based on customer and market knowledge; proactively matches needs to value proposition associated with products and services
  • Demonstrates market understanding, product and technical knowledge
  • Adheres to Company processes, policies and role requirements
  • A willingness to continue to develop themselves



  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent focused on a business or scientific discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years in related direct sales and/or marketing experience
  • Knowledge of small animal veterinary products, the animal health industry and the key players within is a strong advantage
  • Strong selling skills with a track record of achieving & exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to learn scientific and technical information quickly
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Capacity to interact with veterinarians, technicians, specialists, and other animal health professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdependent sales team or independently, as required
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information in a clear and consistent manner
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and capable of quickly adapting to other applications in a Microsoft/PC and Apple environment
  • Ability to travel and to work nights and weekends as applicable to the territory
  • Solid leadership skills with a strong desire to seize accountability
