Territory Sales Representative within the Horticulture Industry in Calgary

Our client is the largest national independent lighting wholesale distributor, specializing in horticulture. This company supplies of full line of lighting and equipment to the horticulture industry designed for the production and management of plants and related by controlling and enhancing their environment. This is a full time Outside Sales position working out of the company’s Calgary office. We are looking for someone who can deliver under pressure in a demanding yet rewarding team-focused environment.

Are you an experienced sales professional who is looking to make a change? Or, maybe you have previous work experience in agriculture, horticulture or the electrical lighting industry. You want to take your career to the next level by excelling in a sales position? You are able to combine your interest in horticulture and related industries with your sales skills in growing an Alberta and Saskatchewan territory maintaining long-term business relationships and cultivating new sales opportunities. A self-motivated, hard working individual who is dedicated to growing their business and servicing their customers is an ideal candidate for this position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Account Management
• Strategic Customer Targeting
• Cold Calling
• Travelling up to 25-30% within your territory


• Experience in the horticulture, agriculture or Lighting industries is ideal however careful consideration given to a candidates ability to grow a geographical territory through diligence and sales skills.
• Minimum of a High school diploma
• Strong, driven, positive and upbeat interpersonal skills preferred.
• Efficient, reliable with attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Professional and exceptional customer service skills
• Proficient in English, written and oral
• Excellent communication skills, organizational & interpersonal skills
• Strong computer skills
• Maintains composure under pressure
• Ability to manage a large geographic territory

This role offers a base salary of $60K, a commission/bonus program targeting first-year income at $100K at plan with ability to grow, a vehicle allowance program, appropriate expenses and benefits package. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join a strong team environment.
